HOW DO YOU CELEBRATE BEING A WOMAN?

INNOCENTIA:

As a young woman, I am discovering what a privilege it is to be called a woman. I celebrate being a woman by wearing my beautiful special occasion underwear, on a seemingly normal day it could also be my special jewellery or maybe some special high heels. I play my favorite songs and dance or sing my lungs out, or go out with my friends who provide emotional and spiritual support for each other. I celebrate being a woman by constantly working and focusing on things that make me happy and grow me.

SHERINE:

I celebrate daily through the choices I make, from the outfit I wear to the conversations I engage in. I am aware of my femininity and the power I carry. I am always working on empowerment because it focuses on sharpening my strengths and developing my weaknesses. As a woman, you have to walk tall and face every challenge head-on. I know I can go through it all and come up as a conqueror. I spend any day dedicated to me to empower myself and other women in any way possible.

GEORGINA:

I celebrate being a woman by owning it and being confident. I embrace every opportunity given to me and take it on with no doubt of my capabilities. I celebrate being a woman by being confident in what I do.

STACEY:

I celebrate being a woman by finding time for myself. Woman tend to be caught up in the rat race of life, taking care of the home, husband children etc. I feel it’s so important for woman to make me-time. For me, its practicing yoga or being with my female friends. Making sure to spend some time in the week doing what we love.

JENNA:

I am proud to be a woman. I am proud of my body – I have fought for it. I am grateful for my health, I have worked hard for it. I celebrate my life because my body has given me the opportunity to live it.

I think a large part of being a woman is focused on your body, and it should be. A woman’s body is magic, it is a miracle and should be celebrated!

To celebrate being a woman is in the small things, it’s empowering your younger sisters to find their voice, it is buying extra hygiene products during our weekly grocery shop for ladies in need, it is becoming a part of a community of woman, it is smiling back at yourself in the mirror every morning.

I celebrate being a woman with the small, conscious decisions I make daily:

  • By saying yes to an email inviting me to be part of the #CelebrateWoman Campaign and
doing a photoshoot for the special edition pack.
  • By joining the support groups to be an active supporter to those ladies going through their cancer journey.
  • Focusing on my health as a woman rather than on my appearance as a woman on a daily basis.
  • By being a part of a community of ladies that dance our troubles away and lift each other up.
  • By taking any chance I can to empower ladies.
  • By using my journey with cancer as a story to inspire ladies to either go for a check up, or for those fighting – keep going, you’re worth it !
